We’ve been working with Sims Global Solutions since 2019, and looking back, it’s incredible to see how far both of our businesses have come. Back then, both of our businesses looked quite different. Sims was operating out of a strip mall, and HR-Rethought didn’t even have a physical office! Fast forward to today: Sims has a stunning building in Lenexa, while we have settled into our offices at Corporate Woods.
So, who is Sims Global Solutions? They’re a logistics company right here in Kansas City, founded in 2010 by Ted Sims. Ted and I were introduced by a local fractional CFO who recognized a need for support on the people side of his business. In those early days, we handled every aspect of HR for Sims – onboarding, off-boarding, and everything in between. Our team was just 15 employees, which seems unbelievable looking back now!
Why We Love Working with Sims
One thing that stands out about working with Ted is his commitment to continuous improvement. When I think of Ted, the phrase, “Good can always be better.” comes to mind. Whether he’s looking at client service, team performance, or company goals, he’s always driven to make things better for everyone involved. This dedication is a huge reason why Sims Global Solutions has grown so much over the years.
Our Journey Together
As Sims expanded, so did our partnership. At first, we were their complete HR solution. As they grew, they added an in-house recruiter to focus on talent acquisition, while we continued to support broader HR needs. Watching Sims grow, adapt, and evolve has been incredibly rewarding, and we’re proud to be a part of their journey.
Looking Forward
With Ted’s “Good can always be better” mindset, I’m excited to see where Sims will go next. As they continue to evolve, I look forward to being part of their journey – helping their team thrive and supporting new initiatives to come!
